Let Students connect amongst themselves to share tips, resolve questions and improve your Conversion-rates!
We listened to you. We did vast research to find out today´s needs of both Students and Universities and WebinarLeads4you proudly presents a Student Community through their new and improved The Study Abroad Portal.
The idea is simple: Get Students involved and let them connect amongst themselves to share tips, resolve questions and in turn you will improve your Conversion-rates. Research shows that one of the most prevalent concerns amongst incoming students is that the experiential aspects of studying such as networking, friendships, clubs and exposure to a diverse, international network are being diminished through all current (post-COVID) developments. Prospects will want to hear directly from current students about their recent experiences of online teaching, careers support and extracurricular activities. There are already certain Communities in the market, through typically Student Ambassador-led initiatives (UniBuddy, Goin), however these often are expensive and still have downsides as to get the community going can also be a time-consuming exercise.
Therefore we decided to take advantage of the students that come to our Portal already, both as Traffic as well as through the Webinars, where students can chat especially leading up to the Webinar as well as afterwards. They can connect with students from their same background, i.e. country or field of study, as well as connect in specific groups connected to the Webinar they signed up on. In the short time since the launch this has already shown great results in terms of interest, great questions and in turn conversions to applicants!
Besides trying it out for yourself we do encourage your ambassadors to join the specific groups, which you can find through our Community. In turn we recommend them to be honest and authentic in these interactions – even if candidates may not always like the answers.
For pre-enrolment students the opportunity to speak with alumni and current students, who share a regional and industry profile similar to their own will be invaluable.
Clearly indicated, up-to-date and consistent information is key. While many of these issues will be outside of a university’s control, students will appreciate clear and flexible policies on matters where universities can exercise discretion – such as deferrals.
Also for admitted students providing a personalised service, characterised by frequent reassurance and empathy is vital – this should be a journey you are embarking on together as the intake circumstances in autumn becomes clearer.
The Study Abroad Portal Student Community can be that missing piece in the puzzle to get students Attention, Interest and in turn convert them to Apply. We invite you to join us and simply check it out yourself!
